Ronnie was born in the quaint town of Oldenzaal in the East of Netherlands. He spent his early days traveling with the family in nearby towns and villages. After a miserable year of studying engineering at a local university, he decided to make his first big trip abroad to reconsider what life was all about, so he traveled to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand for nearly a year and returned home with a direction in life: film and photography.
Aiming to make his passion into his work, he changed his Engineering degree to Art & Technology and started dedicating his life to his passions, traveling and his camera - which has already brought him to many places. Ronnie spent a semester studying documentary filmmaking at the American University of Bulgaria, where he was as a cameraman on his first travel documentary. Since then he has directed and shot several commercials around Europe for companies big and small like Philips, and Italian coffee brands. Ronnie also now attends the world-renowned Amsterdam Film School where he learns directing and was one of the 5 that gets accepted each year.
After graduating from university Ronnie has big plans and dreams about the future. He enjoys studying ancient wisdom and philosophies and is fascinated with the ancient cultures.
Somehow I am drawn towards the North lately. I would love to go back and visit Iceland once more, but Canada, Norway and Sweden are also high on the list. But going to the mountain is something I always enjoy. It is hard to choose just one!

There is a Dutch mountain, with an astonishing peak of 85 meters above sea level, around the corner where I grew up. There is some nice nature surrounding which makes it the perfect place to come at peace.
That’s a tough question. I have always been a huge fan of Nolan’s movies, and his best work, in my opinion, is still The Dark Knight.
