Our first experience in Glacier couldn’t have been better. Weather was perfect, our group was the best we’ve traveled with so far and our guides (Bob and Steve) were top notch!

My son and I had the greatest experience on our Glacier National Park trip. There were many elements to the experience that made it terrific including: time with my son; the beauty of Glacier Park; the activities including hiking, biking and rafting; the outstanding group of people on our trip and finally our guides. Our guides (Steve and Bob) were absolutely outstanding. The best in the business.

My daughter and I were interested in doing a fun mother/daughter trip to Glacier, NP. We are both outdoorsy
and my daughter likes athletic challenges. We read on-line about Austin Adventures' Glacier trip and it sounded perfect: small group, hiking, biking, swimming, water rafting. And we weren’t disappointed! Although I am healthy, I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up w my daughter on the more strenuous outings, so I contacted Austin Adventures prior to the trip and shared my concern. They reassured me not to worry about it, as there would be a minimum of two guides at all times. One guide would lead and the other would follow the slower participants. And if I chose to, I could sit out on any activity and that would be fine, too. No pressure.
Our guides, Steve and Bob, set the tone of the the trip, encouraging group camaraderie, safety and fun times. We all quickly became best buddies for those precious few days. After all, the trip wasn’t just about how far or how fast you can walk, but also about connecting. Connecting with the innate beauty of nature, culture, history, fellow travelers and oneself.
I initially thought this trip was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny and more.
Many thanks to Bob, Steve and travel buddies. Happy trails to all.

Our family enjoyed the time of our lives on the Austria Family Adventure Trip! Our guides, Peter, Ronnie and Mirjam were amazing, kind and knowledgable. We had a group of 4 families in total and everyone got along so well -- even the kids and teens! The group experience, led by expert guides, made this trip so much more enjoyable than if we were traveling on our own. Will book again for sure!

I had a great experience with Active Adventures in Iceland. I picked the 6-day Classic Iceland Adventure and was very happy with my choice. While the price was a bit high traveling in a Single Room, the experience more than made up for it.
We were guided by two amazing ladies and our group of 8 absolutely loved them! The local guide Ms. Stina (Cristina Bang) is a gem. She delighted us with adventure, laughter, and stories about Iceland. The Kiwi guide Mel was kind, genuine and always helpful. She kept an eye on all of us and helped those who needed a little more attention.
The hotels, the food, the excursions, and the hikes were great. Only two reasons I am not giving an "Excellent/Five stars):
1) The itinerary should take the cruise ship schedules into consideration and avoid or work around their arrival date. This is crucial because large crowds were a detriment to an otherwise incredibly good tour. Another option would be timing the visits to top tourist attractions outside of the standard hours, or scheduling your departure dates outside the peak season (mid-July to late August).
2) The Hotel Storm, which was our last night, is not up to the standard of the hotels selected for this tour. I understand this was caused by an availability issue during the busiest night of the year for Reykjavik as the original itinerary stayed at the Centrum Hotel which was lovely. An upgrade would have been appreciated, however not always possible.
In closing, I am leaving Iceland profoundly grateful. Active Adventures was the right choice for this trip.
